OiLove is a performance work developed during the first year of the war. It follows two characters, a man and a woman, living in a makeshift tent beside an abandoned fuel pump. The stage is built from found materials, objects salvaged from the trash, the street, and the attic, forming a post-disaster camp. Within this unstable terrain, the couple performs daily routines: lighting a bonfire, filling oil tanks, eating, singing, crying out, sculpting, making love. These gestures compose a lived score, revealing how the political is not abstract or distant, but deeply embodied, shaping the domestic, the emotional, and the relational.
OiLove examines the entanglement of tenderness and violence, care and collapse, in a space where public catastrophe permeates private life. Situated between the remnants of a fractured past and the erosion of a coherent future, the work searches for the basic and banal, what is here and now? a place, a body, a voice, a life together.
